The Concept

What is the Wedge Fund?

What It Is: Wedge Fund surfaces access to the private companies everyone reads about a year later — names like SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic, and other top-tier names that rarely reach retail investors. I don’t structure these deals from scratch. I curate access to them through trusted vehicles, partners, and networks and bring them to accredited investors who’d rather not miss the next one.

How It Works: Each opportunity is shared first inside the No Strokes ecosystem — through the newsletter and pod — at the education and general-interest level. Accredited investors who want to go deeper verify their status, receive the full terms and structure directly, and decide whether to allocate. No public solicitation. No mass-email pitches. Just curated deal flow for the people positioned to act on it.

My Role: Wedge Fund is my independent vehicle for the deals that come through my network. Wedge Fund doesn’t layer management fees or carry on top of the deal. I am compensated directly by the deal sponsor through a small carry allocation — meaning I only win if the deal wins, and my interests are aligned with yours. You pay the standard terms of the underlying offering. Nothing more.

If a deal doesn’t clear my own bar, it doesn’t make it to Wedge Fund — regardless of carry.

The Deal

I will share only deals that I would personally consider investing in. If you are accredited and interested, apply for access.

The Terms

Once you indicate interest I will share the terms. From there, let me know your preferred allocation and I will connect you with the sponsor.

The Money

All investment proceeds flow directly from the sponsor. Not me. I do not collect a management fee nor deal carry from your specific allocation.

The Watchlist

Example Companies & Themes

These are illustrative examples of the types of companies the Wedge Fund framework analyses. This is not investment advice.

Acushnet Holdings (GOLF)

Equipment & Balls

Owner of Titleist and FootJoy — the dominant players in premium golf balls and footwear. As participation grows globally, Acushnet is positioned as a direct beneficiary of increased rounds played.

Topgolf Callaway (MODG)

Equipment & Entertainment

A fascinating dual play: premium equipment brands (Callaway, Odyssey) combined with the Topgolf entertainment venues. The thesis is that Topgolf creates new golfers who then buy equipment. Complex, but compelling.

Golf Apparel & Lifestyle Brands

Apparel & Fashion

The blurring of golf and streetwear culture (Malbon, Greyson, TravisMathew) represents a generational shift. Brands bridging the fairway and the street are capturing a younger, wealthier demographic willing to spend.

Golf Media & Rights

Media & Streaming

The PGA Tour’s media rights negotiations, LIV Golf’s Saudi-backed ambitions, and the rise of golf content on YouTube represent a massive media rights story still in its early innings. Who controls the screen controls the sport.

Golf Tech & Platforms

Technology & SaaS

Tee-time booking platforms, shot-tracking apps (Arccos, Shot Scope), simulator software (Trackman, Foresight), and course management SaaS. The digitisation of the golf experience is accelerating rapidly.

Course & Club Operators

Real Estate & Hospitality

Large-scale course operators and golf-adjacent real estate (ClubCorp, American Golf) benefit from consolidation trends. Premium golf real estate has proven remarkably resilient through economic cycles.

About Me

Media Entreprenuer & Investor

Scott Kitun

I've made my career building/investing in media and consumer tech companies.

As a creator, I built and sold Pitch Reviews; a private markets newsletter that grew to 75K subs (acquired by KingsCrowd).

As a founder, I grew Technori from a monthly event into a 7-figure media business, and helped scale Songfinch from <$500k in lifetime sales to $100M; raising capital from some of the biggest firms in venture.

I'm also an early investor and advisor in over a dozen startups (including multiple unicorns), and led GTM for the first retail private equity fund with Republic/Hamilton Lane (HLPIF).

Currently, I invest in Creators as Managing Partner @ GigaStar Capital, and host the No Strokes Golf Podcast.
